Just before the start of the new football season, Ipswich Town FC swooped for the experienced midfielder Jonathan Douglas from Brentford.

The 33-year-old captained Brentford last season, scoring eight goals. But he was released at the end of the season on a free transfer.

Really looking forward to having a successful season with them and hopefully gaining promotion. I cannot wait to start working with the staff and players here”
